Puppy Adoption Disclaimer

Thank you for choosing to adopt a puppy from Tobie’s Small Dog Rescue. We rescue abandoned puppies, sometimes along with their mothers, from shelters throughout California. We pride ourselves in providing a safe and loving environment for these pups and moms while they are readied for the adoption process. Our pups are vetted as deemed necessary upon the presentation of Illnesses prior to adoption, given their first round of vaccines, as well as microchipped before they are listed for adoption. Our adoption fees for puppies’ range between $250-$600 which also covers their spay or neuter. It is the law in Los Angeles that all dogs must be spayed/neutered by the age of 6 months. We are obligated to show proof of spay/neuter to the shelters where the pups came from. Failure to do so in a timely manner could result in the revocation of our rights to rescue. We here at Tobie’s Small Dog Rescue take the law and our rights very seriously. We call every adopter when it’s time to return to our clinic for spay/neuter. We provide all the necessary info about the clinic and we give each adopter a 2-week window to comply. This is a mandatory rule of adoptions of puppies from Tobie’s Small Dog Rescue. We also require a $500 outside of the LA area deposit, if you are taking the Puppy out of the state of California, refundable with proof of a spay/neuter certificate. We do not ship or transport any of our puppies out of state. Our approved adopters are required to come to Los Angeles, California to pick up their puppy.
